Pietrasanta, Italy is a historic medieval and artistic town in northern Tuscany sometimes called the City of the Artists or Small Athens for its marble studios and monuments. The town has Roman origins but the modern town is named for its founder Guiscardo Pietrasanta who built it in the mid-thirteenth century as part of the republic of Lucca.
Unlike many popular Tuscan towns, Pietrasanta isn't a hill town and its historic center is a pleasant place for strolling. It's an important center for working marble and was used as a marble source by Michelangelo. Several international artists live or work here and there are art galleries and exhibits. The Bozzetti Museum is a very important museum of sculpture and sketches
This beautiful home located in the heart of Pietrasanta, 10 yards from the main town square and within easy walking distrance from the train station.
The house can accommodate up to 8 people and is comprised of 4 floors, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (laundry room/maid room), kitchen, dining area, and sitting room. The property is fully air conditioned and has the traditional Tuscan character particular of this area.
This house is a perfect family retreat. Pietrasanta itself is an ideal location for an evening summer walk with easy access to restaurants and historical sites.
The location is very close one of Italy's top seaside resorts, Forte dei Marmi within 10 minutes drive, that offers great restaurants lovely beach resort and boutiques and about 30 minutes to Lucca and and easy train ride to Florence.
In addition to the home rental, we are able to book private guided tours of the area that would include culinary tours as well as a fantastic tour of the province Massa Carrara and the famous marble quarries and historical sites.
Rates include all utilities and bath / bed linens as well as fully equipped kitchen, independent heating and air conditioning system and final cleaning.
Weekly rates:
Jun/Sept plus Christmas and New Year's Eve - € 3.200,00 per week
April - May - € 2.400,00 per week
Octobert - March - € 1.800,00 per week
Discounts may be available for longer term rentals according to length of stay.
