Italy's green heart, Umbria, is a region of historic and modern in central Italy. It is the only Italian region having neither a coastline nor a border with other countries. It includes the Lake Trasimeno, Cascata delle Marmore, and is crossed by the River Tiber.

On the slopes of Mount Solare in Umbria, this family-run organic estate also known as an "agriturismo " is made up of 130 hectares of pristine landscape on the green hills surrounding Lake Trasimeno: streams, oak woods (80 hectares), centuries-old olive groves and cultivated fields. They even produce extra-virgin organic olive oil and have about 2.000 plants, 250 of which are more than 150 years old.

There are 11 apartments and one villa located in three separate farmhouses where you will find panoramic pools, terracotta terraces, outside showers, outside tables and barbecue and well-kept gardens.

All of the apartments are spacious and equipped with fireplace or wood-burning stoves, independent heating and air conditioning, WI-FI internet connection, satellite TV with DVD reader. There is a common laundry room with washing machine in each farmhouse.

The wooden kitchens are perfectly equipped with dishwasher, electric oven, 4 burners, fridge and freezer.

The high-quality furniture has been chosen with care: it is composed of old, restored, country furniture of furnishings that have been especially made by local artisans.  Four apartments are accessible for the disabled.

A free WI-FI internet connection is also available in all apartments and in the common room of the Fontanelle farmhouse.
